What Data We Collect
DROPT.ae is built on a minimal data collection philosophy. We collect only what is strictly necessary to provide the service. We do not create user accounts, require registration, or build user profiles.
Email address
If you voluntarily subscribe to price drop notifications, we collect and store your email address. This is the only personally identifiable information we hold. You are never required to provide your email to browse property data on DROPT.ae.
Analytics data
We use anonymised, aggregated analytics to understand how visitors use our platform (e.g., which pages are most visited, general geographic distribution of visitors, device types). This data does not identify individuals and is processed at an aggregate level only.

How We Use Your Data
Email addresses are used exclusively to send property price drop alerts matching your preferences. We will not use your email address for promotional campaigns, newsletters, partner communications, or any purpose other than the specific notification service you signed up for.
Analytics data is used solely to improve the platform
understanding which features are most used, identifying technical issues, and guiding future development priorities. No individual user is profiled or identified through analytics.
We do not use your data for advertising targeting, behavioural profiling, or automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you.
We Do Not Sell Your Data
DROPT.ae does not sell, rent, lease, or trade your personal data to any third party, ever. Your email address and any other data you provide will never be monetised through sale or transfer to advertisers, data brokers, or commercial partners.
This is a firm commitment, not a default that may change with a terms update. The commercial model of DROPT.ae is not based on data sales or advertising personalisation. If this ever changes materially, we will notify all email subscribers directly before any such change takes effect.
Limited Third-Party Sharing
We share data with third parties only where strictly necessary to operate the service, under the following limited circumstances:
Email delivery providers
Your email address is shared with our transactional email service provider solely for the purpose of delivering price drop notifications on our behalf. These providers are contractually prohibited from using your data for any other purpose.
Analytics services
Anonymised, aggregated usage data may be processed by third-party analytics tools. No personally identifiable information is shared with analytics providers.
Legal requirements
We may disclose data if required to do so by applicable UAE law, court order, or lawful governmental request. We will notify you of such requests where legally permitted to do so.
We do not use third-party advertising networks, tracking pixels, or social media tracking scripts on DROPT.ae.
Data Retention
Email addresses are retained only for as long as you remain subscribed to price drop notifications. Upon unsubscription, your email address is permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days.
Anonymised analytics data may be retained for up to 24 months for trend analysis and platform improvement purposes. This data contains no personally identifiable information.
If you submit a data deletion request (see Your Rights below), we will process and confirm deletion within 14 business days.
Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data held by DROPT.ae:
Right to unsubscribe
Every price drop notification email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. Upon unsubscription, we will cease all email communications immediately and delete your email address within 30 days.
Right to access
You may request a copy of all personal data we hold about you by contacting us at privacy@dropt.ae. We will respond within 14 business days.
Right to deletion
You may request that we permanently delete all personal data associated with your email address. Submit a deletion request to privacy@dropt.ae and we will confirm deletion within 14 business days.
Right to correction
If you believe any data we hold about you is inaccurate, you may contact us to request correction.
Right to object
You may object to any processing of your personal data at any time. Where we have no overriding legitimate interest or legal obligation to continue processing, we will cease doing so.
UAE Data Protection Compliance
DROPT.ae operates in compliance with the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL) and its implementing regulations. We apply the principles of lawfulness, fairness, transparency, purpose limitation, data minimisation, accuracy, storage limitation, and integrity as required by UAE data protection law.
Our lawful basis for processing email addresses is your explicit consent provided at the time of subscription. Our lawful basis for analytics processing is our legitimate interest in improving the platform, balanced against your right to privacy
we use anonymisation to ensure this interest does not override your privacy rights.
Data we collect is stored on servers located within or with adequate data protection protections consistent with UAE PDPL requirements. We conduct periodic reviews of our data processing practices to ensure ongoing compliance.
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, accidental loss, destruction, or disclosure. These measures include encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), access controls limiting data access to authorised personnel only, and regular security reviews.
While we take data security seriously and apply industry-standard practices, no system can guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify affected users and, where required, the relevant UAE authorities in accordance with applicable law.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the 'Last updated' date at the top of this page. For material changes — particularly those that affect how we use your email address — we will send a notification directly to all email subscribers before the change takes effect.
Continued use of DROPT.ae after changes to this Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
